I Resolve….to Not Resolve

With the dawning of a new year, it is nearly impossible not to get caught up in the making of New Year’s resolutions and all that. Except that I can resist.

Personally, I don’t fully understand the reasons behind making promises to yourself that you’re only going to break in two weeks, if you’re lucky. It’s like you betray yourself, year after year, merely for the satisfaction of being able to say, “I made a resolution this year!” Well you know what? Make resolutions that you can actually keep, like, “I’m going to eat food this year!” or “I am going to have a birthday this year and turn ___ years old!” Things like that.

So these are my New Year’s resolutions: I’m going to watch tons of Doctor Who, Psych, Burn Notice, and The Mentalist. I’m going to work out and get buff (cause I’m working towards that already anyways). I’m going to use my new donut maker at least twice. I’m going to (finally!) graduate from high school in June. And lastly, I’m going to make my life a life worth living and give it all I’ve got.

Also, I’m going to try to finish editing my book 😉 Hopefully, it’ll be done by the end of the year, but don’t mistake me: this is NOT a resolution. It’s merely a hope.

But this topic brings me to my next topic; some of you may have noticed some changes to my blog, such as the background and the theme. Well, turns out that my very good friend at whenyouarenot.wordpress.com seemed to think that I was copying her blog (but I take no offense, dear one. I still love you very dearly and that’s why I changed the blog. Nothing can get between us!), because we both had the same dusk-to-dawn theme and I had the word “reflections” in my blog description. Therefore, I did my best to find another theme that still reflected who I was (and am), and crafted another description that would hold true to who I am as a person. Just an explanation 🙂 Hopefully ya’ll like the new changes!

Love you all, and have a very happy new year! (For my international followers, this might be a bit belated, considering you are several hours ahead of us) 🙂

  1. Kristin, you are so sweet. Thank you for caving to my strange and aggressive demands, and for the record I think “coffee induced meanderings” describes you much better and is far more original than “reflections” ❤
Your blog is fantastic by the way. Y U so crazy creativity and junk?
