Wild Child of the Wind

There’s a castle in the sky, floating on clouds,
A crystal tower where only dreamers are allowed,
Looking out the window, I can see its spires,
Set alight by sunbeams into glassy white fire,
As this 797 roars on, like a dragon,
Carrying me into that wonderland,
My soul’s compass leads to my personal heaven.

Through this small window I watch the dawning,
Heart on sleeve, withholding nothing,
A sense of serenity rising in my soul,
This wanderlust, it makes me whole.
My world on my shoulders,
Growing wiser without getting older.

My heart looks up to the sky,
My spirit, she wants to fly,
So I will go, go, go!
to find out who I am.
I have no plan,
Like a nymph, a mystical fae,
I’ll chase the sunrise around the bend,
And they’ll say, there she goes again
Wild Child of the Wind.

I dream of new horizons,
With each new conquest, my spirit brightens,
New town, new bed every night,
Parents worry, but I’ll be alright,
Because if home is where the heart is,
Then I’m never homeless.

My eyes look up to the sky,
My soul, she wants to fly,
So I will go!
to find out who I am
I have no plan
Like a nymph, a mystical fae,
I chase the sunrise around the bend,
And they’ll say, there she goes again
Wild Child of the Wind.

I’m born to walk, skip, run,
Live my life like tomorrow won’t come,
Catching flights, not feelings,
Chasing trains, the mountains are calling,
Living for each new sunrise,
Eyes sparkling like starlight,
Flashing gold and green,
Glittering with impossible dreams.

My heart yearns to fly,
Spirit soaring up high
World at my feet, soul on fire,
Free as the wind, I’ve been inspired
To chase the sunset around the bend.
Spinning, barefoot, in the rain,
Dancing in the storm and the hurricane,
Wild, Wild, Wild Child of the Wind.
